every day we're open.
Most people bring a bottle in on a Saturday morning on the way past. It takes a few minutes. You leave knowing what your water actually needs, whether or not you buy anything.
Haven't got a bottle? Ask at the counter, we keep sample bottles for it.
How to take a good sample
- Use a clean bottle. Ask us for one of ours if that's easier.
- Fill it at about elbow depth, away from the return jets.
- Cap it and bring it straight in. Fresh water gives a truer reading.

Equipment repairs and installation Pumps, filters, chlorinators and cartridge filters, supplied, installed and repaired.
The same workshop that repairs pumps for the pump side of the shop repairs them for the pool side. That's a genuine advantage of the two businesses sharing one counter.

Is the water testing really free?
Yes. Bring a sample of your pool water in to 15–17 Tamborine Street during shop hours. We'll test it at the counter, free, and tell you what it needs.
How much water do you need for a test?
A clean bottle is plenty, filled from about elbow depth, away from the return jets. Cap it and bring it straight in, because the fresher the sample the more useful the reading. If you haven't got a bottle handy, ask us for one of ours.
My pool has gone green. What now?
Call us on 07 5547 7577 and describe it. Green pool clean-ups are one of the most common jobs we take, and how long it's been green changes the approach.
Do you look after rental properties?
Yes. We service pools on an ongoing schedule for owners, landlords and property managers, with one point of contact for the whole job.
Do you fix pool pumps, or only sell them?
Both. There's a pump workshop on the same premises, Action Pump Services, sharing this counter. So pool pumps, filters and chlorinators are repaired here rather than sent away.
